CTMH: October Stamp-of-the-Month Blog Hop

Hello again!  Welcome to another Stamp-of-the-Month blog hop.  If you came from LeAnne's lovely blog, you're on the right track.

I apologize if I come across a little different today.  I'm pretty tired because I'm writing this coming off my son's birthday party.  12 little children invaded our home and our neighbourhood park (since it didn't rain, Thank you ,God!) and now that they've left, I'm crashing.  Dino parties can do that to you.  Okay, any kind of birthday party can do that to you!  On top of that, I'm coming down with my hubby's cold.  (Thanks, Chris!)

I've been busy making goody bags with the Artiste cartridge (I'll post those later) so I didn't have a lot of time to create the way I wanted to with this set.  Here is what it looks like:

It's super cute and perfect for all those Christmas cards and gift tags you need to make.  We put 'em out early so you have lots of time to create with these gorgeous images.  I love all the patterns on the images and they just screamed "Simple card!" to me.  So, here's my card:

And a nice close up so you can see the sparkle!

I used pigment inks for the image, inking up the different parts with the little ink pads.  If you look closely you can see where the green got on the gifts, but I'm okay with that.  I used Ruby and New England Ivy.  They dried very quickly while I stamped the sentiment in Black dye ink.  Then I just added tiny bits of Red Glitz Gel and I was done.  Very simple, but striking and easy to mail.  I just might make more of these and maybe use sponge daubers to ink next time.  Maybe this will even make it into our Team Christmas Card Workshop next month.

Supplies used:
Black ink

It's now time to hop on over to Jen's blog and check out her fabulous work.  Thanks for visiting!

Happy Creating!
